Happy Valentine's Day

Thanks for the new toy Aunt Kendra & Uncle Steve!

Snack Time

While I was getting ready on Friday morning Anthony found his snacks inside his diaper bag and helped himself.....it looks like he might have chewed through the ziploc bag to get it open. He then proceeded to shove as much as he could in his mouth and both fists were full as well.

Meet Tim

Tim is a client at PB and he holds a special spot in my heart. He had a traumatic brain injury at 21 and has been in a wheelchair ever since. His mom is a great lady and works so hard to take care of him as best she can. You can read about their fundraising efforts here - they are raising money to buy a new van as hers was totaled. Call the number or contact me if you'd like more info on donating to their cause.

Fundraiser to support Pushing Boundaries client Feb. 20 at Redmond Eagles

A benefit dinner and auction in support of a Pushing Boundaries client, Timothy Knapp, and his mother Lee Knapp will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20 at the Redmond Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 11440 Avondale Rd. NE.

It is hoped that the event will raise $10,000 for a new, wheelchair-accessible van for the Knapp family.

In 1986, when Timothy was 21, he suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car accident. He comes to Redmond's Pushing Boundaries, a non-profit organization that provides intensive exercise therapy for people with paralysis, twice a week.

Lee was recently in a serious car accident that left her with two broken ribs, a badly bruised face and body and a totaled vehicle.

"She is a tough lady and will recover from her injuries, but her 1989 wheelchair-accessible van will not — and without it, she is no longer able to care for her son," explained Shawna Hanson, events and public relations coordinator for Pushing Boundaries. "The insurance money she received was not enough to cover the costs of purchasing a new, wheelchair-accessible van," said Hanson.

The benefit event for Timothy and Lee Knapp is open to the public. Tickets are $10 to be paid at the door. To attend the event or make a donation for the Knapp family, contact the Eagles at (425) 885-3324 (425) 885-3324.

Toy Box

If we put Anthony in his toy basket he is content to play and not even try to get out....for at least a couple of minutes anyways.

Who do I look like?

Dad?

or Mom?

No doubt about it, this boy looks just like Jared!

Happy Valentine's Day, Lucas

While I was in the other room Anthony found Luke's present on the table in the entry way and helped himself to it....the gift is still inside the bag, obviously not as interesting as the red tissue paper!

Join with me....

for the rest of this week and hit the heavens hard for my complete healing! Don't quit the marathon before it's over....though I originally thought I was only running a 5K here, I am encouraged to keep going and keep praying. I don't want to stop before the finish line and give up - I need the prize at the end of the race! Nothing but prayers and positive thoughts for the next three days!
